Boone County Historical Society (Museum)

The Historical Society currently manages and maintains two historical sites: Boone County History Center at 602 Story Street in Boone; and the Kate Shelly site located in Moingona, Iowa.

The History Center building houses existing exhibits in the Museum and a community room that is available for public & private events. Saturdays With Scholars is hosted bi-monthly at this facility. These lectures are educational in nature, and free and open to the public.
